TSG Group has modeled a new pan-tilt camera system in CAD for the German Vidit Systems. This system is developed for the mobile evidence and documentation requirements of the German police on a vehicle, for example at major events such as football matches,
public events and demonstrations.

The new camera system SNK-2VSHD with pan-tilt functionality has been developed for mobile collection of evidence and documentation requirements for specific German police departments. The system enables simultaneous display of the entire observation area as well as zoomed-in detail recordings using two integrated camera modules with Full HD resolution.
Images can be displayed and recorded individually or as a composite picture. With this system, the observation officer has time, image and audio information to assess the relevant event, orient himself and start the HD recording if necessary.
The control unit of the involved department receives the images for operational decisions via monitoring or image transfer. For post-processing and processing, a "Fire button" on the joystick can start or stop HD recording on an external HD recording device. The system is supported by 8 integrated high-quality LED spotlights for excellent operation in poor lighting conditions.
In addition to optical sensors, ambient sounds are added to the digital HD-SDI output signal using an adjustable, high-sensitivity microphone. The SNK-2VSHD meets the high requirements of the German police in terms of robustness and reliability and is designed for rugged outdoor use.
All components are made of corrosion-resistant materials such as aluminum, stainless steel and plastics and are sealed against moisture infiltration. Robust stepper motors and a reliable electronics complete the professional design of the product.
Thanks to the use of maintenance-free timing belt drives, the SNK-2VSHD operates virtually silently. The camera head rotates up to 90 degrees in the vertical axis and 360° at a maximum of 10 revolutions per minute in the horizontal axis.
Depending on the zoom, positions can be accurately reached, stored and retrieved. The new camera modules offer HD features such as excellent image quality, 20x optical zoom with high sensitivity to light. The ideal area of application for the SNK-2VSHD is mobile evidence collection and documentation on a vehicle, for example at major events (football matches, meetings, demonstrations, etc.).
In addition to modeling the entire system in CAD, TSG Group also created several photorealistic visualizations of the camera prior to production.
