Plasmacure approached TSG with the ambition to create a medical device that applies cold plasma directly into chronic wounds to accelerate healing and reduce the risk of amputation. They needed a partner capable of translating a promising scientific concept into a safe, manufacturable, and user‑friendly product, consisting of both a high‑voltage pulser and a disposable electronic plasma pad. The challenge required precision engineering, compliance with strict medical standards, and integration of complex electronics into a single‑use patch.

Result

TSG developed the complete wound‑healing system for Plasmacure - a compact high‑voltage pulser paired with a disposable cold plasma pad that generates low‑temperature plasma directly in the wound. The system delivers a painless one‑minute treatment that can be repeated over multiple sessions and has demonstrated strong potential in supporting faster wound closure. The final product is engineered for reliability, ease of use, and readiness for scaled medical production.

Applied Technology

TSG implemented a combination of advanced electronics, controlled high‑voltage pulse generation, and embedded electrode technology within the disposable pad. The plasma is safely generated from room air inside the wound environment, enabling strong antimicrobial action and stimulating tissue regeneration. Engineering efforts covered materials selection, integration of micro‑electronics, cable interface design, and mechanical development aligned with medical safety and usability requirements.

TSG Contribution

TSG’s multidisciplinary team supported Plasmacure from concept to functional medical device. Contributions included:
