The tobacco industry is constantly seeking improvements in efficiency, output, and quality. We redesigned a specific step in the production process for sorting cut and threshed tobacco leaves and scraps.
In order to make a significant increase in output we applied the technical principle of a cyclone, whereby the different tobacco fragments are sorted by using centrifugal force.
We convinced our client to accept our ideas by designing a working scale module, which we built in our workshop. After completion, we were able to apply the possibilities to create multiple parts and a short throughput time for 3D printing.
After successful testing, engineering and realisation of the full-scale model took place. We were then able to carry out implementation and integration into the existing production line without any problem. Our engineering solution has resulted in better quality control, greater efficiency and increased output for our client.
